Halloween - Why Do We Celebrate Halloween?

Halloween

Halloween Outfits are Outfits worn on or around 31st October which is known as Halloween. The history of the Halloween is a fairly short one. Wearing Halloween costumes has long been a tradition on or around Halloween, Among the earliest records of wearing outfits at Halloween is in 1895, where outfits are recorded in Scotland, but there is no record of an Outfit in England, Ireland, or the United States until 1900. In the 21st century Halloween outfits are very popular in England, Ireland and in the United States it is massive, However early outfits were designed towards the pagan and gothic tendency's of the holiday, but by the early 1930's outfits based on characters in films, literature, and radio were popular and now we have classics like Freddy Krueger, Scream, Morticia, Michael Myers, Grim Reaper, Saw and many more gory Zombie type films like Dawn of the dead. For the history buffs Halloween was originally promoted as a children's holiday, and as a means of reining in the destructive behaviour of teenagers. Early Halloween costumes were marketed at children in particular, but after the mid-20th century, as Halloween became more popular it was started to be celebrated by adults, the Halloween fancy dress was worn by adults as much as children.

The carving Of Pumpkins is thought to originate from North America where pumpkins are a popular fruit and are usually much larger than the average pumpkin found in the United kingdom, Being larger this made it a lot easier to carve, Pumpkins did not become popular at Halloween until the late 19th century. When it became popular to wear your Halloween fancy dress and carry a pumpkin.
